27/08/2026The municipality of Finestrat joins next Wednesday, September 2, coinciding with Ceuta Day, the simultaneous concentration of all the City Councils called by the FEMP and seconded by the FVMP, to show solidarity with the people of Ceuta.
In the words of the mayor, Nati Algado, “today I want to transfer, on behalf of Finestrat, all our support and solidarity to the city of Ceuta in the face of the difficult situation it is experiencing due to the massive arrival of immigrants from Morocco. Ceuta needs the unity, support and collaboration of all. Behind this situation there is an enormous humanitarian, social and security challenge that requires a coordinated and responsible response.” The first local authority sent a message of solidarity and recognition “to the effort of those who work every day to attend to this emergency.” “Ceuta is not alone,” he added. “And what affects the people of Ceuta concerns us all. For this reason, we must respond with a broad and visible presence in each municipality, demonstrating that, in the face of difficulties, we all remain united”.
Nati Algado encouraged citizens to support this rally next Wednesday, September 2, at the gates of the City Hall (Plaça La Torreta) “to show all our solidarity with Ceuta and to be next to a city that today needs the support of everyone”.
