The opening hours of the municipal cemetery are from Monday to Sunday, from 08.00 to 18.00.
The Cemetery Office is the department in charge of managing and coordinating all matters relating to the municipal cemetery, located in the La Foia district.
This department is located on the ground floor of the Finestrat Town Hall (Plaça de l'Ajuntament, Nº1) and its opening hours are as follows:
• Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (In summer from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.)
Regulations
For any work to be carried out in the Finestrat Municipal Cemetery, whether it be repair, placement of gravestones, mausoleums, etc... it will be an essential requirement to inform the City Council (Cemetery Office) beforehand and to complete the application form that will be given to you in the same office or that can be downloaded from this website.When the work to be carried out requires the use of machinery (angle grinders, etc...) that produces dust, this work will be carried out in the place designated for this purpose.
The remaining materials and/or debris must be removed immediately after the workday ends by the owner of the niche, grave, or mausoleum, or by the company responsible for carrying out the work. These materials must be taken to the landfill; the containers placed in the cemetery may not be used, as they are only for flower remains and ordinary services.
Upon completion of the work, the surrounding area where the service was performed must be left perfectly clean. Otherwise, the cleaning will be carried out by a municipal employee at the expense of the owner of the niche, grave, or mausoleum.
It is also announced that on Mondays and Fridays of each week, the person in charge of the Municipal Cemetery will be present at the Municipal Cemetery from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
