CATERING
The water consumed by the municipality of Finestrat comes from the Marina Baixa Water Consortium, the Font del Molí spring and the Alfarella well, in varying proportions, depending on the time of year and the availability of the Consortium and the levels of the Alfarella and Font del Molí aquifers.
The water supplied by the Marina Baixa Water Consortium, of which the Finestrat Town Council is a full member, comes from the Guadalest and Amadorio reservoirs. In the event of a persistent drought or emergency, water would be supplied from the Rabasa-Amadorio water transfer system.
Finestrat's water supply system consists of six storage reservoirs, which serve the municipality. The Cala de Finestrat area, which receives its water from the Marina Baixa Water Consortium, is supplied by the reservoirs located on Amsterdam Street (Serra Cortina Residential Development), which in turn feed the reservoir for the Terramarina development. The town itself receives its water from the Font del Molí spring and is supplied by the Molí reservoir. Finally, water from the Alfarella Well is piped through a 150 mm pipeline to the Serra Cortina reservoir, which then supplies the reservoir in the L'Alhambra district.
