30/08/2026Finestrat has received a grant of 5,000 euros from the Alicante Provincial Council for the drafting of the Active Aging project, an initiative aimed at improving the quality of life, well-being and social participation of the elderly in the municipality. The meeting to address this project was attended by the Mayor, Nati Algado, the Councilor for European Funds, Héctor Baldó and the mayor of Contracting, Guillermo Lloret. 
“This aid will allow progress in the planning of a project that seeks to respond to the needs of the elderly population of Finestrat, promoting healthy, active and participatory aging,” said the Mayor.
The Finestrat City Council highlights the importance of continuing to work on attracting resources and opportunities that allow new initiatives to be launched and services aimed at citizens to be improved.
“We continue to work to attract resources and opportunities for Finestrat, especially those that allow us to promote projects that have a direct impact on the well-being of our neighbors,” they point out from the consistory.
The Active Ageing project is a new step in Finestrat’s commitment to the elderly, favouring initiatives that contribute to improving their autonomy, well-being and quality of life.
