Finestrat receives a grant from the Provincial Council to draft the project on “Active Aging”

Finestrat has experienced a real cycling party with the passage of the queen stage of La Vuelta a España 2026 through the municipality, on a day marked by emotion, festive atmosphere and the participation of neighbors, visitors and fans who filled the streets to cheer on the riders.
From the early hours, Finestrat became one of the meeting points of this great sporting day. The presence of La Vuelta Caravan, with its activities and entertainment proposals, contributed to create a festive atmosphere that lasted throughout the route, especially among the little ones and families.
To this program were also added the workshops and activities promoted by the Department of Youth, which allowed children and young people to enjoy a different day around sport, coexistence and the values associated with cycling.
One of the most anticipated moments was the passage of the peloton through Finestrat, which aroused the excitement of the crowd gathered along the streets. Among the attendees, together with the Mayor, Nati Algado and members of the corporation was the President of the Generalitat, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, who accompanied the town during the passage of the cyclists and shared this sporting event with neighbors and fans. 
The day left images of great atmosphere in the streets of Finestrat, with the public turned to the riders and experiencing first-hand the spectacle of one of the great events of the international cycling calendar.
The City Council wanted to thank the participation and enthusiasm of all the fans who came to Finestrat to enjoy La Vuelta, as well as the involvement of all the people, groups and teams that have made it possible for the municipality to live such a special day.
The passage of the queen stage of La Vuelta a España 2026 has allowed Finestrat to show, once again, its ability to host major events and turn them into a true citizen celebration.
