Finestrat turns to its young people with a Youth Week full of sport, well-being, solidarity and fun
28/07/2026The City Council of Finestrat receives a subsidy of € 22,000 from the Provincial Council of Alicante, within the call for aid from the Department of Economic Development and Productive Sectors corresponding to the 2026 annuity.
These grants will allow the development of different initiatives aimed at promoting local economic activity, supporting entrepreneurship, improving the rural environment and continuing to promote municipal urban gardens as spaces for training, sustainability and coexistence.
Specifically, the Provincial Council has granted:
* €7,000 for the technical assistance, organization and assembly of the Gastronomic and Traditional Market of Finestrat 2026, a consolidated event that highlights traditions, commerce and crafts.
* €5,000 for the organization of the conference “Finestrat Emprende y Emplea”, an initiative aimed at promoting employability, entrepreneurship and the generation of professional opportunities.
* €3,000 for the clearing and maintenance of rural road margins in the areas of Realet, Sima and Tapiada, contributing to the conservation of the environment and the improvement of safety.
* €3,000 for the preparation and ploughing of the land for the extension of the Municipal Urban Garden, as well as for the carrying out of training activities related to organic farming and composting.
* €4,000 to carry out various improvements in the expansion of the Municipal Urban Garden, including the construction of an interior road, an access ramp and the separation of plots.
From the City Council of Finestrat, the Councilor for Agenda 2030, Estela Álvarez, expressed her gratitude to the Provincial Council of Alicante “because its support and collaboration with our municipality through these grants allows us to carry out projects that improve services and infrastructures, strengthen our economic fabric, generate opportunities, while reinforcing Finestrat’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and local development.
