The world of Egypt returns to Finestrat with José Luis Negro and his literary work “INENI. The soldier of Thutmose III”

Passionate about the military career of Pharaoh Thutmose III and his achievements, José Luis Negro immerses us in the story of INENI, a young peasant torn from his home to be dragged into a spiral of war undertaken by Thutmose III, heir of the deceased pharaoh queen Hatshepsut in distant lands. We will know this literary work entitled José Luis Negro next Friday, February 13, at the Casa de Cultura de Finestrat, at 6:00 p.m.

The Councilor for Culture, Héctor Baldó, invited the population and especially those who like the historical period of the pharaohs to approach this literary work. “Through these pages we will discover not only a military epic, but also the dramatic and human situations that are hidden behind these war circumstances, as well as the mysteries of its archaeological remains that reach our days.”

Just 3 years ago, José Luis Negro already presented his passion for this ancient civilization at the Casa de Cultura in the conference entitled “The music of Ancient Egypt. The music of the gods”. Now he arrives with this literary work in which Negro focuses his interest on different periods of Pharaonic Egypt and especially on everyday life with a close and enjoyable style.

José Luis Negro, a native of Almansa (Albacete) has been interested in pharaonic culture for about a decade. In a self-taught way, he began to train in the studies of civilization with different courses and in the studies of his language, (hieroglyphics). Autonomous University of Barcelona, (UAB), History of Ancient Egypt, Paleobotany initiation course, (UCMP), Virtual Paleobotany Lab.
For some years now, he has been conducting courses and workshops in schools and institutes, as well as conferences on various aspects of the pharaonic world.
Author of the novel, Ineni, the soldier of Thutmose III, with Editorial Sar Alejandría, and about to present his second work, Aegyptos, the eternal, with Editorial Dilema, tries to bring the magic of ancient Egypt closer to the public.
He has an account on the Instagram platform, where for years he has been disseminating the millennial trajectory of Egyptian culture to all those interested.
