27/08/2026The Cala de Finestrat is once again the scene of one of the most special events on the local sports calendar: the III Caritas Finestrat Solidarity Race, which will be held on Sunday, September 13 at 10:00 a.m. What was born in 2024 as a fun and family-friendly 3 km race, designed to bring the sport closer to all audiences, has grown edition after edition to become a consolidated event that this year takes an important leap in quality: the route is extended to 5 kilometers, the walking mode so that no one is left on the shore, and for the first time the event will feature Official Timing, opening the door to those who want to really race against the clock.
But beyond the times and the bibs, the real objective of the race remains the same: to add participants to raise as many funds as possible in favor of Cáritas Parroquial de San Bartolomé de Finestrat, which works every day to support the most vulnerable people in our region. The event is organized by Cáritas Parroquial de San Bartolomé and the Hon. City Council of Finestrat, with the collaboration of the Finestrat 733 Scout Group and the technical organization, for the first time, of Grupo Brotons.
