Botanical-artistic eco-expedition through the historic centre of Finestrat: Sunday 3 May

A botanical-artistic eco-expedition through Finestrat. It is the proposal organized by the Alicante Institute of Culture Juan Gil-Albert with the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the City of Finestrat. It will be this Sunday, May 3, from 11:00 a.m. Meeting point: Plaça de la Unió Europea. The route will be guided by the artist and disseminator, Miriam Martínez Guirao, with a perspective focused on nature, tradition and contemporary art, among others.

In the words of the Councilor for Culture, Héctor Baldó “for the 1st time Finestrat hosts this experience that comes to us from the hand of the Alicante Institute of Culture Juan Gil-Albert to bring nature and art closer to the participants. And it will be through the gaze that the guide, Miriam Martínez Guirao, renowned plastic artist, researcher, as well as disseminator of art and nature, will project. So I invite you to take this opportunity to tour, explore and get to know the historic center and the natural environment of Finestrat in a different way”.

Finestrat offers a privileged space where Mediterranean landscapes, biodiversity and cultural tradition coexist. During the tour, references from contemporary art, fashion, literature or cinema that work with nature, ecology, biodiversity and climate change will be explored.
