27/04/2026It is an activity promoted by the Department of Culture in collaboration with the Alicante Institute of Culture Juan Gil-Albert within the cycle “sustainable culture”
A botanical-artistic eco-expedition through Finestrat. It is the proposal of the Department of Culture for this Sunday, May 3 and that comes from the Alicante Institute of Culture Juan Gil-Albert. The route will be guided by the artist and disseminator, Miriam Guirao, with a perspective focused on nature, tradition and contemporary art, among others. 
In the words of the Councilor for Culture, Héctor Baldó “this proposal is the result of the collaboration of our City Council with the Alicante Institute of Culture Juan Gil-Albert. It is about bringing nature, the urban environment and art closer to people who from a different perspective, which will be projected by the guide, Miriam Guirao, renowned plastic artist, researcher, as well as disseminator of art and nature. So I invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to tour, explore and get to know the historic center and the natural environment of Finestrat in a different way”.
Located between the mountains and the sea, in the heart of the Marina Baixa region (Alicante), Finestrat offers a privileged space where Mediterranean landscapes, biodiversity and cultural tradition coexist. During the tour, references to contemporary art, fashion, literature or cinema that work with nature, ecology, biodiversity and climate change will be explored.
