Decreed pre-emergency level 3 for fire risk: from 19 to 21 August

SUSPENDED THE MASCLETÀ of PATRON SAINT FESTIVITIES scheduled for this Thursday, August 20

The Generalitat Valenciana has activated pre-emergency level 3 due to the risk of forest fires throughout the territory of the Valencian Community from this Wednesday, August 19 to Friday, August 21, both included. For this reason, from the City Council of Finestrat we communicate the following measures decreed:

Main prohibitions:
• It is forbidden to travel on trails and cross-country (includes Puig Campana, Font del Molí area, Sierra Cortina).

.* It is forbidden to light any type of fire on forest land and in the area of forest influence (up to 500 m).
* The festive-recreational use of fire has been suspended.
* Works and works on forest land or its surroundings suspended.
* Authorizations for sports circulation in forest lands suspended.
* Access and circulation in natural parks have been restricted and sports events in forest land have been suspended.

Recommend to the population, in view of the high temperatures expected in the Valencian Community for the next few days, to follow the following guidelines:
– Take special care with minors, the elderly, the sick and vulnerable people. – Keep the house cool and ventilated.
– Avoid direct exposure to the sun and outdoor sports activities, especially between 12:00 and 16:00 hours.
– Use sunscreen.
– Eat light meals, with foods rich in water and mineral salts, such as fruit and vegetables, and drink plenty of water. – Dress in light, light-colored clothing that covers most of the body, especially the head.
– Do not leave anyone inside a closed vehicle, and no pets.
– If necessary, call 1•1•2.
