22/05/2026The mayor, Nati Algado, visits the facilities of ONA, Laundries of the Mediterranean, a company that has just opened its doors on the Shopping Boulevard of Finestrat. Together with the First Deputy Mayor, Víctor D. Llinares, and the Employment and Local Development Agent, Isabel Llorca, Nati Algado visited the facilities with the Administrator of the company Filippe Geenens, the General Director, Joaquín Murillo, the Head of Operations, Rubén Chango, of Administration Oscar Lara and the entire team of the company.
“We are here welcoming ONA Laundries of the Mediterranean,” said the mayor, Nati Algado, “a company recently established on our commercial boulevard, exactly on Carrer Alacant. We have visited their facilities where they have made a very important commitment to efficient, sustainable and very innovative technology within the laundry sector. A strategic sector within the tourism field, which will offer a highly demanded service not only in the region, but also throughout the province”.
The first local authority also valued the creation of jobs that these openings represent. “Our town continues to be a focus of commercial and business attraction. We are in a strategic location, very well connected. From the City Council we continue to invest to modernize and beautify our Boulevard. For this reason, I am especially excited that companies will return that effort with their commitment to our town and the generation of employment”.
Currently, more than 700 companies make up the productive fabric of Finestrat. “This is also the result of efficient management by the City Council. We are next to all the companies, small, medium, large stores that choose Finestrat to set up, to offer their service, to make Finestrat grow with opportunities and employment”.
The company has a surface area of 7,000m2, is located on Carrer Alacant and has an initial workforce of 24 employees, of which practically 50% are residents of Finestrat. “Our collaboration with companies in terms of administrative agility is maximum. We give speed to those who undertake so that they do not fall by the wayside. And, at the same time, we ask that our neighbors be the first when it comes to applying for these jobs.”
ONA Laundries of the Mediterranean specialises in the washing and care of bed linen, towels and hotel textiles. From a privileged location, in the heart of Boulevard de Finestrat, it offers service to the hotel plant in the area, trying to minimise the carbon footprint as much as possible with measures such as the generation of its own solar energy or the saving of 80% in water consumption through the use of state-of-the-art machinery and ecological products “which makes it one of the most modern and efficient laundries in Europe”. as indicated by the management.
