21/05/2026Students of the distance university will be able to carry out their internships in the local administration of Finestrat
First collaboration agreement between the City Council of Finestrat and the UNED of Denia. It is signed by the mayor, Nati Algado and the Director of the Distance University in Denia, Raquel Martí. At the time of the signing, the Councilor for Culture and Human Resources, Héctor Baldó and the Secretary of the UNED, José Monserrat, were also present.
“For us it was very important that this moment arrived. Strengthening ties with university entities seems key to us. In this case it is about collaborating with the Distance University to facilitate the realization of academic internships for students in our administration,” explained the Councilor for Human Resources, Héctor Baldó. “This initiative reinforces our commitment to training, employment and the generation of opportunities for those who combine their distance studies with other work or family responsibilities”.
The objective of this agreement is to establish an educational cooperation program through which UNED students enrolled in official bachelor’s and master’s degree programs will be able to complete their training with curricular external academic internships.
Therefore, thanks to this agreement, students will be able to acquire practical experience in the local administration of Finestrat, applying their knowledge in a real professional environment and contributing, at the same time, to the operation and improvement of municipal services.
The agreement also favours the connection between the university and the local level, promoting collaboration between both institutions and supporting local talent. “With all this, these actions contribute to promoting equal opportunities and bringing higher education closer to all citizens”.
