Finestrat opens the application period for its Municipal Summer Schools with the novelty of including August

On Wednesday, May 20, the Department of Education of Finestrat opens the registration period for the Municipal Summer Schools. As in previous years, families will be able to choose between the CEIP Puig Campana School and the CEIP Balcó de Finestrat, in both cases for children from 3 to 12 years old; and for babies under 3 years old there will also be Summer School at the EMUFI. As a novelty in this edition, the Schools will also cover the month of August as long as there is a minimum demand for places.

“The dates have come to reconcile and organize the children’s vacations with the work schedules. For this reason, from the Department of Education we are once again committed to the Municipal Summer Schools. In Finestrat, families have this service available from 0 to 12 years old. They can also hire it by the week, thus facilitating flexibility.” The councilor valued the economic effort of the City Council to support families by subsidizing this service, “so that each family pays half of what this service really costs us. And in the case of the EMUFI, which is a little higher due to the special attention that babies need, we are already working on a municipal line of aid to reduce this amount and bring it into line with the prices of other schools for those over 3 years of age,” reported the mayor of Education, Beatriz Quintillán. Finally, the councilor recalled the novelty of this edition: “the School will also provide service in August as long as we receive a minimum demand for places”.

SUMMER SCHOOL FROM 3 TO 12 YEARS OLD (BORN BETWEEN 2014 AND 2022)
Dates: from June 22 to August 28 (in August provided there is a minimum demand for places). On holidays such as June 24 and August 21 and 24 there will be no School.

2 modalities:
• PUIG CAMPANA: in the CEIP Puig Campana, located in the traditional historic center. With sports activities, storytelling, crafts, excursions… etc.
• BALCÓ DE FINESTRAT in the CEIP “Balcó de Finestrat”, located in said urbanization. Also aimed at activities related to sports, storytelling, crafts, excursions… etc.
Pricing:

• For those who enroll in the Puig Campana y Balcó de Finestrat School from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the price is €40/week.
• If it is until 3:00 p.m. (with the dining room included), 50€/week.

SUMMER SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN UNDER 3 YEARS OLD-EMUFI
Dates: from July 1 to August 28 (in August as long as there is a minimum demand for places). On holidays such as June 24 and August 21 and 24 there will be no School.

For the little ones (babies under 3 years old born in 2023, 2024 and 2025) the EMUFI Summer School is offered at the facilities of the same Municipal Nursery School, located on Serra Cortina street.
Prices: In the case of EMUFI the service is given with dining room included until 3:00 p.m. and the price is €100/week. “From the City Council we are already working on a line of aid to reduce the cost of the School of the families of the EMUFI”

REGISTRATION
For these 3 schools, the registration period opens next week, from Wednesday, May 20 to Monday, May 25.

In the case of EMUFI, preference will be given to children already enrolled during the current academic year in this same school.

The evaluation criteria will be applied in the event that there are more applications than places and until the existing school places are filled.

As for the documentation to be provided from 20 to 25 May to formalise the reservation of a place, the following documents must be taken into account:

– Certificate of collective registration.
– Photocopy of the Family Book (parents and children section).
– Photocopy of the child’s Social Security Card.
– Photocopy of the DNI, NIE, European Card or Passport of the parents or legal guardians.
– Certificate from the company or accrediting document specifying where the parents or legal guardians carry out their work activities.
– Those families who wish to opt for the ESCOLA MATINERA service (8 a.m. to 9 a.m.) must provide a document accrediting the working hours of the parents or legal guardians that justify the need for this free service.
Failure to provide the mandatory documents will result in the loss of registration fees.
