New edition of the Swimming Pool Maintenance Course in Finestrat

It is free training in a sector with a high demand for qualified personnel for the summer season

The Department of Training of the City of Finestrat has organized a new edition of the Pool Maintenance course to improve the job opportunities of its neighbors for the summer season. It will be on May 28 and 29 at the Casa de Cultura (LLar del Pencionista), from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

“As you know, at Finestrat we have a very strong commitment to training and job placement. Proof of this are the employment workshops that we have underway, and also this type of training days adapted to the needs of each season. In this case, summer is approaching and there is a demand for trained and qualified personnel in pool maintenance,” explained the Mayor and Councilor for Employment and Training, Nati Algado.

This training is aimed at both people who want to start in the maintenance of these facilities and for workers who need to update their knowledge and qualifications.

Among the contents will address the elements that make up a swimming pool, the risks associated with swimming pools, water treatments, precautions in the handling of chemical products, cleaning and maintenance plans, prevention of Legionnaires’ disease in hydromassage pools, air and water quality controls and swimming pool self-control protocol, among other concepts. After passing an assessment test, a certificate of achievement will be issued in accordance with Royal Decree 742/2013.

The course lasts 10 hours, distributed over two consecutive days, and will be taught on May 28 and 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Casa de Cultura (Llar del Pencionista), right next to the municipal swimming pool, which allows a much more practical vision to be given to the knowledge acquired during the training.
