27/08/2026The Department of Equality receives from the Alicante Provincial Council a subsidy of an amount of € 1,983.76 within the call “Subsidies to City Councils and EATIM for the preparation and evaluation of Gender Equality Plans, 2026” that in the case of Finestrat will be used for the evaluation of the I Municipal Equality Plan approved 4 years ago.
In the words of the Councilor for Equality, María Teresa Pérez “it is essential that our Municipal Equality Plan is constantly evaluated and adapted to the needs that are demanded of us. For my part, I would like to thank the Provincial Council for its sensitivity and support to be able to continue improving in the area of gender equality in Finestrat ”
Since its approval, the Equal Opportunities Plan between women and men for the staff of the
Finestrat City Council has involved defining in detail and putting in writing the City Council’s
policy on the principle of equal treatment and opportunities between women and
men.
Its general objective is to achieve equal treatment and opportunities/ eliminating any
possible direct or indirect discrimination based on sex in the workplace.
