Grants up to €100 for Glasses and Contact Lenses for children under 16 years of age

The 4 opticians of Finestrat participate in the “VEO Plan”

Up to €100 in grants for children and adolescents up to 16 years old (included) to renew their glasses or contact lenses. It is the VEO Plan in which the 4 optical establishments of Finestrat participate. The mayor and also Councilor for Health, Nati Algado, visited these opticians where the families of Finestrat can already apply for this aid.

The subsidy amounts to a maximum of 100 euros per beneficiary and covers the cost of essential optical products such as basic frames with organic prescription lenses with anti-reflective, or contact lenses (contact lenses) and maintenance solutions for one year. If the cost of the glasses or lens is less than €100, the Veo Plan finances the total price, therefore, the beneficiary does not have to contribute anything. And if the price is higher, up to €100 is subsidized and the difference is contributed.

The VEO Plan is open to all children and adolescents up to 16 years of age who are entitled to public health in Spain and have a visual prescription. The aid is managed directly at the opticians who are members of the VEO Plan. In Finestrat 4 establishments participate: Opticians La Cala, MIOPTICO Óptica and Audiology Carrefour and in CCLa Marina, Óptica y Centro Auditorivo Soloptical and Alain Afflelou Optician and Audiologist La Marina Finestrat, all of them duly accredited with the specific adhesive.
