20/07/2026Pride of a team that has never stopped believing that it could. The Plaça de la Unió Europea was filled with a large audience to follow the Grand Final of the World Cup in which Spain beat Argentina by 1 goal from Ferran Torres. 
The mayor, Nati Algado, at the end of this vibrant match in which extra time was reached, thanked all the attending population for the great atmosphere that was experienced in the Plaza. “Tonight we celebrate that effort, union and talent are rewarded. My thanks to all the neighbors, also to the security forces and bodies for a magnificent night, without incidents. And, of course, to the Comissió de Festes La Xirimbela, for being at the foot of the cannon. From Finestrat, our congratulations to the National Team for this brilliant championship”.
