School enrolment information meeting for the 2026/2027 academic year
20/04/2026Today it took place in the courtyard of the CEIP Puig Campana and on Friday 24 it will be at the CEIP Balcó de Finestrat
A hundred schoolchildren from the CEIP Puig Campana de Finestrat have participated this morning in a day of planting plant species promoted by the City Council of Finestrat. The setting has been chosen by the management of the educational center to fill the facilities of the school itself with green. The mayor, Nati Algado, and the Councilor for the Environment, Estela Álvarez, attended this day with which students are instilled with the importance of preserving the natural environment, in addition to the responsibility of caring for plant species every day.
The first local authority, Nati Algado, “today we share with the schoolchildren of CEIP Puig Campana this activity with which we seek, among all, to promote from an early age respect for nature and the awareness of protecting our environment. It is also a practical and playful way to understand how their actions can contribute to combating problems such as climate change. All this without forgetting teamwork and the sense of responsibility and commitment to the trees that today, they themselves, have planted”.
Specifically, a hundred boys and girls aged 4 and 5 years of Early Childhood Education and students in the 5th and 6th year of Primary have planted native species in the playgrounds of their school that they will be able to see grow from today: rosemary, thyme, chamomile and cypresses with which they will complete a hedge.
This day is also held at the CEIP Balcó de Finestrat and the date chosen is next Friday, April 24. (PRESS OFFICE.17.4.2026)
