SATURDAY 8. ORCHESTRA: THE MUSIC OF ENNIO MORRICONE PER L’ENSEMBLE LE MUSE
The first musical event is this Saturday, August 8 at the Auditori del Castel. The acclaimed all-female instrumental ensemble, Ensemble Le Muse, under the master direction of Andrea Albertini, pays tribute to legendary soundtrack composer Ennio Morricone. This concert celebrates the creative genius of Ennio Morricone and his most celebrated compositions in the history of international cinema.
Ennio Morricone composed many of the world’s most famous soundtracks. In Finestrat will be played, among others, some of his best-known pieces from films such as “The Mission”, “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” or “Until His Time Came”. Throughout his life, Morricone received numerous awards for his work, including two Academy Awards, three Golden Globes, four Grammys, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Ensemble Muse is an all-female instrumental ensemble made up of instrumentalists with artistic training in national and international orchestras, who combine their concert career with teaching in Italian academies and music schools.
In the “Musiche da Oscar” project, the ensemble is composed of classical musicians with the aim of sounding as faithfully as possible to the original composition during the concert, and by a soprano who interprets the vocal parts.
The Ensemble is directed by Maestro Andrea Albertini. They have performed all over the world in countries such as the United States, Canada, India, Italy, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland among other countries.
The Alicante Provincial Council collaborates in this concert and admission is free.
SUNDAY 10. CONTEMPORARY BOLERO: DANCE THE RAIN WITH ANA PEREIRA QUARTET
The Interactive Festival of Performing Arts (ManIAC Fest) stops on Sunday, August 9 in Finestrat with “Baila la lluvia”, Anna Pereira’s first album, a musical proposal that reinterprets the bolero from a personal and contemporary perspective.
In this project she brings together some of the songs that have accompanied her since her childhood, many of them passed down by her family and that have connected her intimately with music and singing from a very early age. Accompanied by Isaac Martín (bass), Daniel Orts (piano) and Tico Porcar (drums), Ana fuses the bolero with elements of jazz and other music, providing a fresh and current vision of a genre that she considers timeless.
Thanks to the musical direction of Isaac Martín, the band has been able to navigate some of the most well-known boleros, reinventing them through sophisticated and creative arrangements. At the same time, the less popular songs remain closer to their original versions, thus respecting their essence.
Ana Pereira’s voice, delicate, elegant and with a very marked personality of her own, provides a unique interpretation that highlights the emotion and drama characteristic of bolero, while exploring new sonorities through jazz and her own artistic style.
Baila la lluvia not only pays homage to the bolero tradition, but also presents it from a modern sensibility, connecting the past with the present and bringing it closer to new generations of listeners.
The live show is intimate and immersive, designed to transport the audience through that temporal journey proposed by the repertoire. From the expressive freedom of jazz, the concert explores all the emotional force of the bolero, offering an immersive experience in which respect for tradition merges with a renewed and dynamic look.
The result is a unique atmosphere, full of beauty, complicity and emotion, where each song invites you to discover the bolero from a new perspective without losing the essence that has made it a universal genre.
It will be on Sunday, August 9 at the doors of La Ermita del Castell at 10:00 p.m. with free admission
