25/05/2026The mayor, Nati Algado and the president of the Rondalla Cordes i Veus Font del Molí, Miguel Lloret, have signed the renewal of the collaboration agreement between both entities. With this, the City Council once again makes explicit its support for the Rondalla and its commitment to cultural revitalization, the maintenance, protection and encouragement of local popular music and the promotion and dissemination of folkloric traditions.
In the Rondalla Cordes I Veus Font del Molí , people of different ages live together, creating a very valuable space for intergenerational encounter. Another important aspect is its formative function. They teach traditional instruments and popular repertoire, contributing to the musical training of neighbors. This learning helps to keep cultural roots alive and awakens interest in the local culture among new generations.
They also participate in festivals, institutional events, popular celebrations and cultural meetings such as the Cultural Summer, the Spring Concert, the Christmas Concert and also different concerts and musical performances in the Marina Baixa region.
“For all these reasons, it is essential that we continue to give our support to the Rondalla, guaranteeing its continuity and recognizing the important cultural and social work they carry out in our town,” said the Councilor for Culture, Héctor Baldó.
The signing of the agreement involves the economic contribution of €19,000.
