The free training arises from the pioneering agreement signed by the council and the company is moving forward to meet the demand for personnel in this passenger transport sector
The mayor, Nati Algado, went to the AVANZA facilities to congratulate the students who have achieved this employment contract
Just a year ago, the City Council signed a pioneering agreement with the company AVANZA to train bus drivers who, at the end, would sign an employment contract. The day has arrived. 7 students have passed the training, have obtained the bus driving license and training. They have signed their contract with AVANZA. And they are already starting to work.
The mayor and head of Employment and Training, Nati Algado, went to the company’s facilities to congratulate the students for this year of effort “which now has its well-deserved reward with an employment contract. It is a real example of promoting employment. It is an example of public-private collaboration. And a success story that puts the City Council of Finestrat as a benchmark in training and direct job creation in a sector with a resounding demand for personnel such as bus drivers”. The mayor had words of gratitude to the students “for the great level of commitment shown during all these months” and for AVANZA “for going hand in hand in this pioneering agreement that will surely be the 1st of many”.
By successfully passing the training and exams, each participant has obtained the D and D1 bus driving licences, the training title for road passenger transport (CAP) and now, the indefinite employment contract as a public transport bus driver with the company AVANZA, with a commitment to remain for 24 months.
On this visit the Mayor was accompanied by the director of AVANZA Movilidad Levante, Luis González, the Human Resources Manager of the company, Isabel Sánchez, the Employment and Local Development Agent of the City of Finestrat, Isabel Llorca and Manuel Ríos, General Director of Transport and Logistics of the Generalitat Valenciana, who wanted to know first-hand this joint initiative of the City Council of Finestrat and the company AVANZA.
