Tax advantages to reduce tax payments: New ASEFI training proposal
28/05/2026The City Council of Finestrat launches a new action aimed at improving the safety, accessibility and experience of users who access Puig Campana, one of the most visited natural spaces in the Valencian Community. The work has already begun and involves the adaptation of a pedestrian route that will connect the Font del Molí car park with the main trails of the natural environment.
The Councilor for Works and Projects, Guillermo Lloret, explained that “the intervention includes the creation and signage of a pedestrian route that will connect the parking area of the Font del Molí with the PR-CV 289 and PR-CV 289.1 trails, facilitating safer and more orderly access for hikers, athletes and visitors to Puig Campana. At the same time, we are going to take advantage of this action to improve the signage and to install a solar-powered weather station in order to collect climate data in real time and take the appropriate measures if necessary”.
The action responds to a growing need derived from the high number of visitors that the Puig Campana environment receives annually, especially in seasons of high influx. Until now, access from the car park to the start of the trails is partly done by sharing space with road traffic and through uneven and eroded sections of land. To solve this situation, the project contemplates two types of intervention. On the one hand, a concrete sidewalk will be enabled next to the existing asphalt road, delimited with a curb and equipped with horizontal and vertical signage. On the other hand, the section of dirt track that connects directly with the trails will be conditioned, correcting gullies and improving the evacuation of rainwater.
In addition, wooden information panels and a solar-powered weather station will be installed at the connection with the PR-CV 289 trail , which will allow climate data to be collected and made available to users in real time.

“The objective of this intervention is twofold: to reinforce the safety of people who visit the natural environment and to improve the quality of the tourist and sports experience, while favoring a more orderly and environmentally friendly mobility,” concluded Guillermo Lloret. With this project, the City Council of Finestrat continues to advance in the modernization and sustainability of its tourist and natural resources, consolidating the environment of Puig Campana as a benchmark for active and nature tourism in the province of Alicante.
The action has a total budget of € 39,999.89 financed entirely with European Next Generation EU funds. The expected execution period will be 60 days from the start of the works.
The project is part of the Territorial Plan for Tourism Sustainability in Destination of the Valencian Community, financed with European Next Generation EU funds, within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

Adaptation of Font del Molí with the support of the Generalitat Valenciana
The councilor also recalled the work that has been carried out in the Font del Molí with the support of the Generalitat Valenciana to condition this much-visited area. “It is essential to guarantee its maintenance, adaptation and improvement of equipment, trails and recreational areas such as this one. Recently the Generalitat has built masonry walls and has also renewed all the wooden railings that surround this entire space, in addition to intervening in the adaptation of the so-called “Volta al Puig Campana”, the circular path that goes around the entire mountain”.
