The Generalitat Valenciana allocates €15,000 to improve the air conditioning of schools in Finestrat
22/07/2026These are the last works of the work on the green boulevard of La Penya. And in the Museum’s parking area the tasks are concentrated right now. There it was necessary to intervene to renew all the asphalt, rearrange the parking spaces by signage, in addition to the incorporation of the new bike lane.
The mayor, Nati Algado, was on site to explain what these works consist of in the final stretch of the Green Boulevard. “In this parking lot the asphalt presented a significant deterioration. To renew it, we have intervened in depth. Work is being done on the subsoil to reinforce the entire pavement, as it was already too soft and thus make the new asphalt more durable and resistant. The work will continue with the signage. We are also going to rearrange and distribute this space with parking spaces right at the entrance to the historic center and at the main access to our Museum”.
The works include the signage of about twenty parking spaces and the incorporation of the bike lane, recently created on the Green Boulevard. “This lane will reach under La Penya and cross the Museum park,” added the Mayor. “They are works designed to be as durable as possible,” he concluded.
Details of the Work “GREEN PEDESTRIAN BOULEVARD. CONNECTION BETWEEN URBAN AREA AND RURAL ENVIRONMENT (CV-767)
With this action, the City Council of Finestrat has promoted the creation of a platform parallel to the CV-767 road that passes under La Penya to generate a sidewalk and a bike lane that links the urban area with the sports area of La Foia.
In this way, Finestrat continues to make progress in terms of sustainable mobility by facilitating pedestrian and cyclist traffic on this road.
At the same time, they have implemented a rainwater channeling network to prevent flooding in the area when it rains torrentially and another network to evacuate wastewater from the eastern area of the urban area.
The budget amounts to €1,759,345 and with a subsidy from the European Next Generation EU funds that amounts to €1,029,568. The remaining amount is contributed by the Finestrat City Council.
