The walk, organized in collaboration with l’Associació de Dones de Finestrat, is suitable for all ages and will donate the proceeds to the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
Finestrat will once again turn pink next Sunday, October 18th, to celebrate its traditional Solidarity March against Breast Cancer , an event that every year brings together numerous residents forming a true “pink tide” to raise awareness of the fight against this disease and show the town’s commitment to prevention and research.
The mayor of Finestrat, Nati Algado , presented this new call together with the board of the Finestrat Gifts Association chaired by Maribel Algado and the Councilor for Equality, Mª Teresa Pérez .
“ On Sunday, October 18, Finestrat will once again dress in pink For our Solidarity March against Breast Cancer. I encourage you to participate, to walk together and fill our streets with solidarity to highlight the importance of this day. “,” said the Councillor for Equality, Mª Teresa Pérez .
The walk will be an easy 4-5 km route suitable for all ages , starting from La Fonteta and heading towards the Museu de Finestrat. From there , it will descend to the new circular green boulevard, passing the cemetery and crossing to the Camí de l’Alfàs track towards the Golf Roundabout. The return journey will be along the La Vila road, passing the La Foia Municipal Pavilion, back to the historic center where the Women’s Association will have lunch prepared for us. This day of participation and solidarity is open to residents of all ages.
Las inscripciones ya pueden realizarse en la sede de l’Associació de Dones de Finestrat, situada en el carrer Nou, 5, los martes de 17:00 a 19:00 horas y los viernes de 10:00 a 12:00 horas.
The minimum donation to participate is €5 without a t-shirt and €10 with a t-shirt. All proceeds will go to the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) .
The Finestrat Town Hall and the Department of Equality encourage citizens to join this initiative and, once again, transform the streets of the municipality into a great pink wave of solidarity, awareness and support for all those fighting against breast cancer .
