The City Council undertakes the fine-tuning of the educational centers with works such as renovating the roof of the CEIP Balcó de Finestrat
01/07/2026Finestrat continues to expand its electric vehicle charging network with new points in the urbanizations. Specifically in Balcón de Finestrat, just in front of the school that bears the same name, they have set up a semi-fast charging point for 2 vehicles (22kw + 22Kw).
“It is a request that the residents of these residential areas have sent us: more electric vehicle charging points. Right now we already have one underway at Golf Bahía. And with resources from European Next Generation EU funds we have implemented this new charging station in Balcón de Finestrat,” said the Councilor for European Funds, Héctor Baldó, during his visit with the technical engineer of the area, José Llorca Aragonés.
The mayor Héctor Baldó recalled that electric vehicle drivers have at their disposal a wide network of charging points distributed throughout the municipality:
- Historic centre: municipal car park for 4 vehicles and Avenida Benidorm.
- La Cala: on the same beach promenade and at the intersection between Avenida Marina Baixa and Avenida Finestrat.
- Commercial Boulevard (Avenida País Valencià): on a public plot of the Boulevard there is a pioneering facility in the Marina Baixa with ultra-fast charging for 4 vehicles
- Urbanizations: in Golf Bahía, with capacity for 2 vehicles; and, this recently installed point in Balcón de Finestrat (Avenida Sevilla) for 2 vehicles.
The new facility has a subsidy of €2,783 from Next Generation EU funds, within the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Plan, for the contract for project drafting services, construction management and Health and Safety coordination of the works of charging points on Avenida Sevilla-Balcón de Finestrat”.
“With more than 100 electric vehicle charging points throughout the municipality, Finestrat is a reference municipality in the province. One more example of our commitment to sustainable mobility, energy efficiency and the preservation of the environment,” concluded the mayor.
Recharges can be made from the Iberdrola Public Charging App, which allows you to geolocate, reserve and also pay for recharges via mobile phone in a simple way.
