Sunday of Festivities with Fiesta Train, Refreshing Children’s Park, Kings of Reggaeton and CORREFOCS Night

Saturday starring young people with the Candy Firecracker, the Fiesta Train, the refreshing playground, the giant water slide… and for Humour with the Grand Parade in which the stalls leave their sense of ridicule at home to laugh at everything and make the audience laugh. The works of the historic center, the celebration of the “Viking rowing” of the World Cup, Bud Bunny’s house, the colorful pac-man, boxers in the ring, Mexicans, meteorologists who do not get it right, Toy Story 5… were some of the themes that filled Benidorm Avenue and Fonteta Street last night.

This is how the patron saint festivities continue in Finestrat. This Sunday 23rd arrives the Day of the Foc. Between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. the Fiesta Train will return, while the little ones will be able to enjoy the refreshing playground from 11:30 a.m. Gunpowder will once again be the protagonist at 2:00 p.m. with a new aerial bombardment, while the afternoon will offer proposals for all audiences, including the long-awaited Kings of Reggaeton, at 5:00 p.m.

At 7:00 p.m., the Plaça del Poble will host a great variety show, before the night is completely transformed with one of the most spectacular acts of the festivities: the Correfocs de Xarxa Teatre, which will begin at 11:00 p.m. and will tour the municipality from La Fonteta to l’Hostal.

And for those who still feel like partying, the early morning will continue from 00:30 hours with the performance of the La Flamea Orchestra, in the Plaça de la Unió Europea.

The festivities also maintain their commitment to sustainability and prevention. Ecovidrio’s “La Peña Recicla” campaign will reward the stall that recycles the most glass, with the scale available this Saturday and Sunday, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at La Fonteta-Font del Lleó. In addition, the Violet Point will be installed in the Plaça de la Unió Europea on Saturday and Sunday, from 00:00 to 04:00, as a space for information and prevention against gender violence.

Two days, two ways of experiencing the festivities and the same invitation: go out into the street, share, enjoy and make people. Finestrat thus faces a weekend in which the emotion of traditions is mixed with humour, music, gunpowder and the desire to celebrate.

From the City Council, the Mayor, Nati Algado, encourages residents and visitors to come to Finestrat and experience its Patron Saint Festivities up close, enjoying its streets, its squares and a program designed for all ages. Because these days, more than ever, Finestrat is celebrating and wants to share it with everyone, neighbors and visitors.

The Patron Saint Festivities end this Monday 24th, the Day of the patron saint Sant Bertomeu, with the traditional meal in honour of the elderly people of Finestrat. Organized by the City Council with the support of the Comissió de Festes. In the afternoon, the procession with the music of the Puig Campana Musical Centre will take the Santíssim Crist del Remei back to the Ermita del Castell after these 4 days of festivities. Next, the artificial fugitive castle will be fired by Pirotecnia Vulcano to put the finishing touch to these Patron Saint Festivities 2026.
