09/06/2026The Alicante Provincial Council has granted a subsidy of € 25,738.29 to the City Council of Finestrat to cover a service as essential as the one provided by the firefighters of the Provincial Consortium for the fire prevention and extinction and rescue service (2026 annuity).
Specifically, the provincial institution has approved a new call for aid aimed at municipalities with less than 20,000 inhabitants to cover contributions to the Provincial Firefighters Consortium for the Fire Prevention and Extinction and Rescue Service. The line of subsidies increases its economic endowment this year by more than 14%, from 700,000 to 800,000 euros.
The call seeks to alleviate the economic burden for many municipalities to maintain their contribution to the Provincial Firefighters Consortium, especially in municipalities with less budgetary capacity and with growing needs in terms of prevention and response to emergencies.
